Epiphany Day 12 Come All You Faithful

Annette Vincent Daily Bible Study & Questions

We have reached the end of our epiphany journey but not the end of our journey with Jesus. O Come All You Faithful still calls the faithful to Him.

When choosing my songs for our journey I chose this one to end on for one reason only. This song calls to ALL of us! The original seekers journeyed to Bethlehem. We have a journey of the heart. And the faithful STILL come.

Jesus left His home in Heaven. Came to earth as a helpless infant. The King of the universe was born in a lowly stable. His birth was announced by angels and attended by shepherds. Visited by magi from the east and honored as King. Carried away in the night by His family. Returned with His family to Nazareth. Raised in obscurity. Stepped into His role of teacher at the age of 30. Ministered and taught for 3.5 years. Took our sins upon Himself and died on the cross in our place. Rose from the dead. Visited His followers to prove His resurrection. Ascended into Heaven where He works daily for those who call Him their Lord. Is coming again where He will conquer Satan and rule on earth for 1,000 years.

Jesus. The ONLY begotten Son of God. God Himself. One part of the trinity. THIS is the reason the faithful still come. He is not in the manger any more. He rules on high. We can come directly to Him in our hearts. Don’t bow at the manger, the cross, or even the grave. Bow at His feet. All the others are empty reminders.

Come. Let us adore Him. Let us worship Him. Come ALL and be faithful to Him for His mercies endure forever!

Thank You Jesus for being faithful to Your Father and making a way for me to come. The cost was ENORMOUS! But You willingly paid it. I can’t imagine my life without You. I want to be faithful to You the rest of my life. I know that YOUR faithfulness will NEVER end and even when I blow it, You are still there; waiting with open arms. You are TRULY worthy of praise and worship. I lay whatever gifts I have at Your feet. Use me however You see fit.
