Amen! In my own thinking (not supported by research) I believe that it was so early in Jesus’ ministry that He asked people not to tell others WHO had healed them because He knew the kind of controversy that would haunt Him once His Supernatural powers became known.

I was just looking in my bible helps and they suggested that Jesus said not to spread the word because it would bring people who only came for the healings and not the message. That sounds like a valid point to me. He was thronged by people as it was. I wonder how much worse it would have been if word had got out immediately as He took the stage.

I’d should verify with you here. Which is not one thing I often do! I take pleasure in reading a post that may make people think. Additionally, thanks for allowing me to remark!
