I think you made a great point–and it’s one that reflects how I often feel when confronted with people who talk about the political climate we live in, today. You know, in the ‘natural’ realm, Jesus’ death was politically motivated, so I think there can be some parallels drawn.

When I read about FEMA camps, large-scale gun confiscation, political conspiracies in our current age, I ‘hear’ the warnings, yet I examine ‘what can I do?’ and most often contend that as one individual, very little. So, I set my concerns aside and focus on living the life set before me. I don’t think my head is in the sand because I maintain an awareness of where we are (as a society) and truly believe that we are approaching the day that God will say, “That’s enough, Jesus. Go get ’em!” But at the same time, when I compare what we are experiencing in America to what the rest of the world has lived through over the last century (or probably longer) I know things could get a lot worse (here.) So I’m reticent to fully believe that Jesus will return in my lifetime.

Therefore, I must live as if He will return tomorrow–but at the same time, continue doing the work He brings to my hand as though setting the stage for generations yet to come. While yet I pray, “Come quickly, Lord Jesus.”

I would love to be able to understand everything that is to come, maybe. If I knew everything though would I be too scared to live life today?

I too am find myself at a loss when it concerns what I can do about the way things are going here in America. I know is that God is still in control, no matter what it looks like. I also know that it has to get even worse before God sends Jesus back for us. Every time I hear people calling out in fear because of this or that, I just remember that He still holds me in the palm of His hand and He knows when it is time to bring us all home. I would LOVE for it to happen in my lifetime!

Just keep walking and working. The rest is up to Him. And THANK GOD for that!
