2 Thessalonians 3:6-15 Those Who Won’t Work Won’t Eat

Don’t treat them as enemies but don’t associate with lay brothers and sisters

Paul has one more issue he wants to address before signing off. It has come to his attention that some of the believers are sitting by while others do all the work. This is NOT acceptable.

“If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat” (verse 10b). Paul goes so far as to tell those who are working to “take note of that person, and have nothing to do with him, that he may be ashamed” (verse 14b). Paul does NOT say to cut this person off as a sinner and throw him out of the body. “Do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother” (verse 15). Read more »
